For years I've raised money for worthy causes, money to help others. Now, as a candidate I find I must raise money for my own race. It is a different and often uncomfortable feeling.
Yet, as Nevada has grown, our legislative districts have grown. Try as I can, it is hard to meet every person in the district. In fact, in this 24-hour town with many people holding down more than one job, people are often not home when I knock on their door.
As much as I enjoy the one-to-one visits, I also must mail my messages, put up signs, and do the other things candidates must do to win election. And all of that, including this website, costs money.
Your donation means a great deal to me. Postal rates are going up, but your
$39 pays for stamps on 100 thank you notes and letters. I can place eleven small
signs in our neighbors yards with your $50 donation.
No matter what you can afford, I will spend it carefully as I know you trust me to do the right thing. Thank you for your support.
